Buddy & Friends Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer organization based in Pembroke, MA. We rely solely on the backbone of our rescue which is fosters and volunteers. We exist to rescue and re-home dogs that would not have a chance otherwise.
We recently have opened a shelter at 275 Oak St in Pembroke that will be utilized for dogs in crisis and to assist local ACO's.
BY APPOINTMENT ONLY ON SUNDAYS
Your support and contributions will enable us to help more dogs. All donations to support the rescue efforts are tax deductible.

Andrea and her lovely husband have been fostering Dally. We took her back a few months ago after realizing that she was in a home that wasn’t the right fit for her. Dogs are my soul, and I know there is an incredible human out there for this girl. We try not to get attached but it happens. We all love this dog.
From her foster mom:
Miss Dally is a ton of fun! She can entertain herself wrestling with her blanket or playing with toys. She gets along unbelievably well with our resident dog. They love chasing each other, playing, wrestling, swimming and going on walks. She's got a TON of energy but will easily crash on the couch, her favorite place in the house. She freely shares kisses and hugs and loves to snuggle. And She's a champ at supervising when we're in the kitchen. She's not a fan of the crate and gets anxious in the car but we try to take her somewhere fun each time she goes. She has loved everyone that she has met
ALL dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped and on preventatives.

Clyde would do best in a home with another confident dog to help him continue on figuring out how to dog. He gets nervous upon meet and greets with other dogs, so he is going to require patience.
He’s a super sweet boy and will make a family very happy.

Coming inbound from TN! FOSTER NEEDED!!!!!
This little guy was found alone and has been fostered for 4 months. He was having digestive issues but seems to be fine on Science Diet Gastrointestinal Biome.
From foster mom:
Fargo is very playful, loves wrestling with other dogs and playing. He loves playing tug of war and loves to lay around and chew on chew toys. Loves cuddling with you in your lap. Loves food but have to be careful with what he eats. He only eats Science Diet. Still likes to nibble your fingers and loves pushing my Yorkie around.
He will sit, shake and lay down. Pouts when he thinks you are mad at him. Hates being alone so he needs another dog that will tolerate him being rough and playing. Fargo is potty trained.
ALL dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped and on preventatives.

Gill, lovingly nicknamed Trip, is starting to come out of his shell. He loves to smell flowers, chase bees & loves our pond (he is definitely a water dog). He’s potty trained, doing well on leash - although still nervous with loud sounds. He’s timid at first with people but after some patience he’s your friend and he hasn’t met a dog he didn’t love! He’ll make a great family dog especially if there is another pup to help with his confidence.

I love to play, especially with toys—chasing a ball or deconstructing a stuffy is my jam! I also looove other doggy friends. But my favorite thing of all is just being around people. After a fun play session, I’ll happily curl up next to you for some snuggles. I’m a big fan of belly rubs and cozy naps. I promise to always make you smile with my silly antics and warm you up with my cuddles!
My foster pawrents and I have been practicing walking and I walk in a very relaxed heel – very demure, very mindful. I was nervous of big trucks when I met them but my time in the big city has made me very brave. I’ve even learned some great tricks (I can spin! – treat payment required though). My dog and cat foster siblings all say I’m a great guy (ok maybe the cats say I’m just fine, I love them though).
I get along great with all humans and animals I meet, but I haven’t completely mastered my excitement levels yet (I prefer to greet with enthusiasm) so I probably shouldn’t live with tiny humans right now. If you’re a family or just someone who needs a loyal friend, I’m your guy. I’m really just looking for a family who will love me as much as I’ll love them.
Think we could be best friends? I can’t wait to meet you!
Love,
Enzo

Foster to Adopt program!!
This program will be for all dogs that are on their way up from TN. We have removed our age requirements. Want to spend more than an hour with your new furry friend to see if they are the right dog for you? Great! This program is just for you. No commitments and the rescue for the first 7 days pays for all your pups needs. By day 7, if your pup does not work out, then you continue fostering until we find him or her their furever home. This also works out for us as we won't have to worry about our dogs making more transitions than necessary.
If you are interested, please email Foster@buddyandfriendsma.org
We are ALWAYS looking to add more permanent fosters to our foster base. We pay for EVERYTHING and the only commitment you have is to keep your pup loved and safe. We provide vet visits, toys, treats, kennel, and food. You will also become a part of our already awesome foster team. You just provide a loving home while your foster pup waits for their furever family. Apply to foster below.
