Buddy and Friends Animal Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization.

Adoption fees barely cover the costs associated with the rescue.

We do all vetting. This means each dog that is adopted is fully vetted with all required shots. Each dog is also up to date and on preventatives.

Our dogs are transported from TN to MA where they go into quarantine, The State of Massachusetts requires that all dogs entering the state must be quarantined for a minimum 48 hours per Animal Health Emergency Order, 1-AHO-05. This is required of all dogs entering the state, regardless of their health, age, vetting status, etc;

We provide all food for our foster dogs.

Some dogs have some non-favorable issues that may require training.

We are a volunteer organization and strictly rely on donations and sponsors to support our rescue efforts and basic business expenses.

Every dollar is put to work supporting our rescue to help unwanted animals.

No donation is too small!! Our Mailing address:

All donations to support the rescue efforts are tax deductible. Tax ID # 84-4752460

POLAR Engraving

Our project with POLAR Engraving is still going!

This is your opportunity to purchase a brick in memory of a loved one or show support from a local company who loves dogs as much as we do.

This project will be placed in the front of the building along the walkway, and it will replace the walkway to our dog's shelter yard.

We chose CJ Shaughnessy Crane Service as our sample brick as Chris is a huge supporter and donor to our rescue. Without him, the building would not be possible and the dogs that reside with us would have nowhere to go.

Become a Sponsor

As a sponsor of Buddy & Friends Animal Rescue, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the dog's lives of those we serve. Every person who helps with Buddy and Friends is a volunteer and we solely rely on donations to help our dogs in need.

In Loving Memory of

John Joseph Shaughnessy

May 24, 1953 – April 24, 2026

We want to share with you all a funny, down-to-earth guy who loved dogs as much as we do.

John attended events, hung out at the shelter, and donated often to help dogs. He built a relationship with the owner of our rescue.

We shared a lot of laughs, may or may not made fun of his nephew Chris, always had good conversations and shared a true love of dogs. John was kind and funny.

We are really sad that we won’t get random visits from him. John did speak of his wife often and we hope they are together on the other side. In lieu of flowers he chose our rescue. Unexpected and made us even more sad.

Rest in the sweetest peace “firecracker”.

In Loving Memory

In Loving Memory of Ronnie Harvey O'Neil

 August 2, 1970 -  January 16, 2024

Ronnie, if you knew her then you know she was an Angel walking among us. She was a person you just wanted to be around. Her aurora drew you in. She had fire in her soul and overall was an incredible human being. She was devoted to her family, friends and animals. The rescue world, especially our world, we all lost a beautiful, caring, kind, selfless person.

Ronnie participated in events, shared our dogs, shared fundraising ideas and assisted the Director with many other tasks. Ronnie will never be forgotten.

Until we meet again.
