We pride ourselves in partnering families with their furever companion. We are also different than some rescues as we are not first come first serve. We place every dog based off the dog and persons match, not just one way or another. We want to be sure that the applicant is the perfect match for the dog. Here are some of our happy tales:
Finn was surrendered to BFAR on 3/3/21. Her frustration and anxiety showed. Her bark said a million words. She wanted a second chance and we could see it in her. She was gorgeous, loud and loving. We had many nights of crying, lack of sleep & wondering what our next steps were and how we weren't going to fail her like every one else had for the last 7 years of her life and who would take a chance at loving her like we do. We often asked ourselves "Are there any more dog people like us?" Someone who would see in her what we see? A Dogs World Unleashed took Finn from being dog reactive to the general population at doggie daycare. Finn is still learning how to live every day life and how to interact with other dogs and people. She did a complete transformation with A Dog’s World Unleashed. Without Carolyn and her team we would be lost with Finn and dogs like her. She is a true success story and what being a rescue is all about - SECOND CHANCES.
That second chance lead to this.....
Finn was officially adopted today 6/27/21!!!
Nancy and Stephen have been visiting Finn for a few weeks now. Getting to know her and building that foundation of trust. The trust that Finn has been missing out on for 7 years. I would lie if I said I didn’t cry, because I did. .
Nancy and Stephen are committed to giving her the best life possible and to show her that there is a happily ever after. She was so happy with them both today and it made my heart melt.
Thank you to every person who shared Finn and people who have been rooting for her.
For Finn to remain successful we have offered to keep her in daycare 2 days a week to keep up with her socialization. If you would like to donate you are more than welcome!
